I finally got a new episode. It’s only about 30 minutes long and I fill you in on what I am up to both work wise, health wise and what I am doing to change my future. I also talk about my new recording setup & praise Reteo and Door to Door Geek up and down

Both were recorded live at Soaring Eagle Casino & Resort at Event 11 in front of 1200+ real live people that didnt throw anything at us and they even let us keep playing!

Well Event 11 happened on Friday and it went off extremely well in my opinion.
So tommorrow night (Monday) I am recording a show with Chazmo, one of the people who put this brillant and astounding show together.
I describe it that way because it truly showcased a very wide array of musical talent from smooth jazz to hard core metal. Ending with a huge personal influnence of mine, Great White!
Show will be posted late Monday or early Tuesday.

Not really the end. Just taking some time off. Not enough time in the day to do everything I want to do. So I am slowing way down on the podcasts. I want to do some things that go into a different direction and this is the only way I can do it all.

Go figure, I’m a Bonehead!

There comes a time in everyones life when they reach a point. A crossroad where one needs to make a decision which road to take. For me that decision is whether to continue podcasting.
I love to do it and have a strong desire to do it but I cant seem to find the time to sqweeze it in between learning, being a father, a husband, in a band and still provide for my family. I promised one show per month on Ryans Top Shelf and two here at UBSN. But I havent been able to pull that off yet. I am looking to start another podcast with a friend plus do some volunteer voiceover for a project  with yet another podcaster. Not to mention I still have to build the bands website.
While I havent made a decision yet I thought I owed you an explanation as to why there hasnt been any new shows lately.

Peanut is 7 and is apparently better at The Gimp than I am. Feast your eyes on the wallpaper she and I made.
It was her idea to use the ball, all the colors, logo placement and the purple “fire” things. I did some blurring, reflections and layer poistioning/opacity.

About 20 years ago I was a cocky little 16 year old that thought he knew how to play guitar. I can remember driving my parents crazy trying to learn how to play. Mostly because I thought it sounded better at higher volumes than the human ear could handle. I have long since figured out that wasn’t the case.
I can remember learning how to play some now classic songs such as Rock Me and Once Bitten Twice Shy by Great White. I played them over and over again for hours on end. I think my parents knew them as well as I did.
Fast forward to November 11, 2011 and I will be finally living a childhood dream that many don’t ever get to do. I will be sharing the main stage at Soaring Eagle Casino in Mt Pleasant, MI with one of my major musical influences,Great White!
I and the rest of my band are quite ecstatic over this show. But I am also very humbled that the production company, Mad Turtle Productions, and the casino are willing to give us a chance at playing with such a big name in the business. We will be getting a DVD of the performance and I am sure that it will be posted quite prominently here on UBSN, YouTube as well as our bands site. Which reminds me that I really should get around to building that.
I’m not sure whether I will get to do any interviews with the members of Great White or whether it is appropriate for me to ask. But I will try to get some with the other bands. I will even see about getting some songs from them to play on the show.
