Biography: Empyreon emerges onto the scene with an innovative sound consisting of keyboard driven melodic metal. Hard to define or categorize, the band prefers to simply call it “Metal”.Comprised of NYC based session musicians, the band had begun as a mutual side project and musical curiosity among members Mike Khalilov (Keyboard, Guitars), Phil Coard (Bass) and Frank Godla (Drums). It began with the Eternal Nightmare EP arranged, recorded by Don Chaffin (Ace Frehley), produced by Eyal Levi (Daath), and mastered by Scott Hull (Meatloaf, John Zorn) within just 1 week of inception.

The release of Eternal Nightmare was received with praise from all types of fans. With prior commitments including Godla’s web production Metal Injection TV and Khalilov filling in on keys for Daath (Roadrunner Records) on a full U.S. tour, the band had to break immediately following the release. Over the course of a year despite little efforts to promote the band or EP, Empyreon had begun to see countless fan mail responses and over 2 million plays on a video game widget featuring their music.

Empyreon recouped as a “real” band in 2009 with diligence, determination, and featuring new vocalist Aaron Joos to match the bands evolved sound. Now a very different breed, Empyreon had just released their self produced, debut full length record “Beyond Perception”, a musical journey that’s best described as “having something for everyone”. The LP features the title track single mixed and mastered by Anssi Kippo (Children of Bodom, Norther, Mors Principium Est), and a guest guitar solo by Matias Kupiainen (Stratovarius) on the track “Of Mortals and Men”. A music video by acclaimed director David Brodsky has recently premiered on metalinjection.net

Empyreon is currently booking dates along the north east in support of the release, and will continue on tour through out the year.

Biography:Try to imagine being in a pitch-black room and getting punched in the forehead from some unforeseen entity without warning. As you try to get up from the ground, you run into the same blunt force that knocks you down again and again and again. This could be one aural description of life-death thrash metal band known as K626.

Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart knew the name K626 as his last concerto just before dying. It was a painful work in progress for him that he never got to finish. Picking up the baton of Mozart’s requiem mass was not something Brent Wisdom tried to do, however there was no reason why he couldn’t run with the name and do it his way. Hence, the name K626 became the name of the band in 2004.

Originally, Brent did most of the vocal work on the first two albums; “Beyond the Grave Volume 1 (2005) and Volume 2 (2006) when he decided to concentrate solely on guitar and locate a fulltime singer. Enter Chris Shaw. Having played in many local bands and known for his deathly high and low vocal ranges, the band asked if he would be interested in joining. Being that they were from the same city in Crestline California, it seemed like a natural progression for both.

Shortly thereafter, the band quickly got to work on their third release titled “Seven Deadly” and almost instantly noticed a major transition in their musical progression. “Seven Deadly” gain critical acclaim among metal radio DJ including XM’s Liquid Radio and Metal Head Radio, and 1FM High Voltage. They were quickly invited to perform at various metal festivals sharing the stage with such bands as Shadows Fall, Killswitch Engage, Godsmack, Machine Head, and Obituary. Their music started to tighten up at this point with constant touring and performing throughout 2008. Recently, the band performed at the Glass House in Pomona California with such bands as Fear Factory, Skinlab, and Bleeding Through.

In mid 2009, the band got to work on their new album titled “The Gates Of Necropolis” which would prove to be their heaviest sounding to date. Produced by Brent Wisdom and K626, Blasko from Ozzy Osbourne had recommended Josh Newell (Korn, Motorhead, P.O.D.) to mix the album. Musically, the band could remind someone of Lamb Of God, Pantera, or possibly Slayer, however it is the high end of the vocal range and the wide array of guitar parts that give K626 their original sound. The album is slated for international release August 4th 2010.

The song to come out of the promotional gates prior to the release of the album is “Twisted”, which has already had a major impact on their fan base having received over 1 million visits and over 700,000 plays on their MySpace page, and currently playing on YouTube, Facebook and various additional websites. Such songs as “I Viking,” “Paths Of The Dead.” And the title track together combine an album that is as mentally and psychologically creative as it is heavy.

The metal enthusiast will not be disappointed when entering “The Gates Of Necropolis.”

Release:
THRASH METAL GROUP K626 TO RELEASE NEW ALBUM

Produced by Brent Wisdom/K626 and mixed by Josh Newell ”The Gates of Necropolis” will be available in stores August 4th 2010

CRESTLINE CA: With over 1 million page views and over 700,000 plays currently on their My Space page, thrash metal fans worldwide (already broad-sided the by the blunt force of the latest promotional video for the song “Twisted”) will not be disappointed with the bands upcoming release of their heaviest sounding album to date. Mixed by producer Josh Newell (Korn, P.O.D. Motorhead) “The Gates Of Necropolis” is the fourth release for the band since 2005 and is a follow up to the bands critically acclaimed release “Seven Deadly” for such songs as “Damnation” and “Lord Of Maggots” being featured on Sirius/XM’s Liquid Metal channel.

“I like the way they’ve blended really heavy, almost death metal-ish, guitar and drum work with melodic riffs.” states mixer Josh Newell. “It’s a great blend, a la Pantera or Sepultura where you remember the guitar work/riffs as much as the vocal lines.”

The new album’s upcoming August 4th release date is preceded by the video for the song “Twisted” which is already receiving national fan attention and is on point musically. Newell further states; “Too many bands are using syncopated patterns instead of writing good songs. It’s so nice to hear riffs and guitar solos. I think the album sounds current without sounding dull like so many new bands do. Totally up a Machine Head/Lamb of God alley.”

K626 emerged on the thrash metal scene in late 2004 and soon released the E.P. “Beyond the Grave Vol 1″, in 2005 followed by the E.P. “Beyond the Grave Vol 2″ a year later. K626 consists of vocalist Chris “Skary” Shaw, Brent Wisdom on guitars, Justin “Cheez” Powell on Bass and Joe Downard on Drums. K626 has performed alongside some of the top known bands in the metal scene today. The name of the band comes from Mozart’s unfinished requiem mass “Concerto K 626″ “We all thought (the name) was original and went with it saying we would finish his song in our own way.” states guitarist Brent Wisdom.

Biography: From the hazardous storms and below-zero temperatures of the remote and dangerous place on earth, where even the deepest fjords freeze to ice, and there is no summer, The Commander-In-Chief was born.
At the age of 4 she could speak with whales. At the age of 6 she killed her first polar bear.

Having heard rumors about a better and more prosperous place on earth her family set off to find the promised land far, far south. Their 8 polar dogs pulled all their belongings, boxes of goat cheese and mjod for weeks thru countries of lederhosen, apfel-strudel and alps – and finally they arrived at their destination. They spent the next 7 years drinking cheap Italian wine, eating olives and fishing tuna not understanding jack shit of what was going on there. At the age of 10 The Commander discovered her talent for music. She used to sit late at night outside the family tent and sing for the gekkos and squirrels, who were the only friends she had.

When there were no more women to rape and churches to burn her dad got bored and they stumbled across the border to France. In a remote cave up in the mountains The Commander found herself chasing rats around the cave at nights. The family made a brave decisions to set out on the most challenging journey of their lives – across the big, ice cold ocean to the promised land of freedom in the west.

Only 7 of the 18 children survived the crossing of the Atlantic Ocean in the homebuilt Viking ship. The Commander did not give up! She fought for her life and her determination was rewarded. In the new land there was sunshine, oranges and gators! She spent her time playing with the gators in the backyard at the trailer-park, where her family had found their paradise, when a huge hurricane hit them. They were blown away to south side Chicago, leaving her dead drunk dad as the only one back in the south.

Now it was only the wives and the children left and the oldest sons had to provide for the family. They started a local gang and took control of the streets. The Commander , still clinging to some of the debris from the trailer after the hurricane, sat down and built herself her first instrument. She used the intestines of her dead brother, who was killed in a drive by shooting, to make strings and she called the instrument a guitar. She spent countless hours trying to tune it and after 3 months it finally sounded the way she wanted.
She started to write her own music and since then there has been no way back!
The Commander realized it was time to move on. After a long and hard fight between the women in the family it was finally decided who should go with her, and her mom won. The two of them left without saying goodbye to the others and crossed the ocean as stowaways on a ship. They are now back in Europe, in London, and The Commander is there to change the world with her raw, powerful music! Her skyrocketing high notes, crystal clear voice, and the 7 string guitar she won, after a street fight with a Mexican kid in Chicago, can be heard late at night for anyone who is out walking the streets of Wimbledon…

Biography: The Last Act is breathing life into the genre “Metal Rock” . This sound is a hard rock/metal combination with a molded “old-skool” sound to it. TLA is re-inventing this style of music in a new and absolutely original result.

Sounds Like: Black Sabbath – Iron Maiden – 3 Days Grace – Rush – Old Metallica – Megadeth (old and new) – Kill Switch
Engage – Soundgarden

Imagine a combination of all of these with a totally new and original sound and you got the Last Act.

People have called the Last Act things like “Perfect” and “Genius”. It is said that it is some of the only REAL rock remaining and being created today. The Last Act was re-formed in 2007 with the focus of creating music that the band members were craving but were unable to find in the market place today. Their primary focus is to create music that THEY love, cannot get enough of hearing, and cannot find anywhere else!

The North American Defiance Tour 2010-11 will be starting early this year following the release of their 3rd CD titled “Still Standing” as of March 6, 2010, with the first leg hitting mid size venues in major centers across Canada.

A stunning 9 out of 10 people who listen to the new material coming from TLA end up loving it and become die-hard fans! The good news is there is a lot more on its way!!

Biography: Publik Parking, formed in 2003, is an ever-evolving alternative/metal band who has recently signed with Revolution Music Records. Monica’s sultry melodic to growling vocals has set Publik Parking’s style away from the rest. All the while, Neiko’s strong, complimenting backup vocals along with his aggressively, gritty guitar riffs, and Tucker’s highly energetic guitar style and rhythm lends itself well to the musical mix. Tim’s vigorously enthusiastic bass style to Erik’s precise backbeats, resonates the power within Publik Parking’s musical creativity. The inspiringly, creative collaboration that takes place between members drives them to produce each song as unique and complex as the next, using their own individual talents to complete the tie that binds them together not only as a band, but as a family of musicians with one goal. Each live performance is a dynamic stage show that keeps people coming back for more.

Publik Parking has had the distinction to be 1 on MySpace’s metal top 10 indie label bands in Michigan and 7 on the MySpace’s progressive metal top 10 indie label bands in Michigan. Publik Parking has also been the featured artist on various websites including, www.therevolutionmusic.com, www.musicforte.com, www.bandtube.com, www.skyrock.com, www.michiganartists.com, www.michiganbands.com, www.stolenmixtapes.com, not to mention plays on numerous podcasts, online radio shows and local radio and college stations across the country, and also on 105FM in Europe where they were in the top 10 of unsigned bands receiving airplay.

Publik Parking has had the pleasure to share the stage with In This Moment, Ashes of Soma, Smile Empty Soul, Caroline’s Spine, Buckcherry, Program the Dead, Bile, Loudness (world tour 2006), Jocaine, Bret Michaels of Poison, Five speed, Broadzilla, and Pownd.

Biography: We formed in late 2006, coming from different personal experiences in previous bands. During the year 2007, moving from positive feedbacks gained during our live shows, we started recording an official 5-tracks Promo, which was released in early 2008. Since the songs were created and recorded during a whole year, that promo shows our transformation from a classical Thrash Metal Band to a more complex entity, fusing Thrash, Metalcore and New Metal influences.

Due to successful goals of the Promo, in the late months of 2008 we started the pre-production of “INCUBHATE” EP, which has been recently completed. This EP represents a tremendous improvement in our music, for it is the final representation of our music style.

Press
Release:

The 2008 PROMO has been reviewed nine times up to now, from top national and some international metal zines. Each time we sent it, the promo has been positively reviewed (enclosed you will find the links to all reviews), with highlights being the degree of “Demo of the week” for three consecutive weeks on Stormbringer ‘zine.

The songs “STILL LIFE” and “SCARECROW MAN” (from
PROMO 2008) have been included in the CD-comp “Keep pushing the underground-Vol. 6”, released from the Indie WESTMONT METAL RECORDS in January 2009. Moreover, the song “IN SOLITUDE I STAND”, from PROMO 2008, has been selected for a next-to-come CD-comp by METALMUSIC.COM.

The band has been contacted frequently by indie labels to sign production, distribution and booking contracts. However, our goal is a full Metal label, so we’ve always declined up to now.

Biography: NERO ZERO

There’s no question that Hollywood is full of fakes, posers and shopping mall rock stars. You can find them on every street corner and you can hear their Jing-a-Ling pop crap for miles. But if you’re looking for the real deal – you know the kind, the ones that rock n’ roll legends are made of – then you’ll have to dig through the trash and put your ear to the Hollywood streets to find the four noble rock stars that make up NERO ZERO.

Living month-to-month in Los Angeles, California, this unsigned Canadian army of four stands strong and unaffected – perhaps numb – pushing forward in the face of financial adversity through desperate measures such as selling items found in dumpsters on Craig’s list for rent and food. It’s a perpetual razor’s edge between survival and homelessness, yet they remain immovable in their pursuit of destiny.

The NERO ZERO back-story involves no trace of glamorized media fabrication involving lines of coke, or navel shots with strippers. On the contrary, this is a simple account of two eccentric brothers; one with anger issues (Diz Thomas), the other with a hopeless guitar addiction (Sick), who formed a rock band with their best friend (Rikki Twist), a geek turned freak. They penned some first-rate tracks, recruited a nut case for a drummer (Cory Hartless), and vowed to break the backbone of an ailing music industry seriously lacking quality control.

“We’ve set out to make a CD where every song counts,” says Rikki Twist. Diz Thomas adds, “Look, I’m a music fan first. So what is all this bullshit? I’m expected to drop fifteen dollars on a CD featuring one good song? We’re perpetually hyped on new and fresh ground breaking artists who are nothing more than rehashed copies in new packages. It’s a complete fucking rip off!”

Capturing all the force and power of today’s rock sounds and blending it with the raw energy and fury of a freight train, NERO ZERO’s self-titled first release can best be compared to the likes of life changing debuts from legends Motley Crue and Guns N’ Roses. Anyone who was around when those albums came out can remember where they were when they first heard them. It was a moment in time they’ve remembered for the rest of their lives – a moment that has influenced two generations of rock bands.

So take note and remember where you are today, because once you hear the opening chords of the first track, King Of Rock City, it will change your life. And, mark my words; it will define the next generation of wannabe rock stars.
Co-produced and mixed by Frank Gryner (Rob Zombie, Tommy Lee, The Crystal Method), NERO ZERO is an album full of great tracks. The first single, Fucking A Rock Star, is a spoof about the crazy and hype machined lifestyles of icons such as KISS’ Gene Simmons, while the rest of the album follows suit with more pompous and self-deserving topics like King Of Rock City, My Own Addiction, and Breathe. Additionally, no other band in history has ever had the balls to re-record and transform Super Freak, the classic Rick James funk mega-hit, into a modern rock song.

Rumored to be nominated for several 2010 Canadian Hard Rock Music Awards and working closely with a major media company for the licensing of their tracks for entities such as Fox, Speed TV, NFL Films, Versus, G4, NASCAR Productions, ESPN, and all U.S. sports stadiums and arenas, NERO ZERO will be top of mind in 2010.

So where are you today? Take note of your surroundings; maybe even take a snapshot with your fancy pants cell phone. This is the moment that will change your life. This is the moment you first heard NERO ZERO.

Los Angeles, California – 9:00 a.m. January 04, 2010

The Release of the NERO ZERO self-titled debut CD hits full stride

NERO ZERO is taking Hollywood and the world by storm with the release of their self-titled debut CD. The band that entertainment magazine Rockstar Weekly has called “by far the best un-signed band in North America” lives up to the hype with a debut offering that is worthy of becoming a Rock classic.

Rumored to be nominated for several 2010 Canadian Hard Rock Music Awards and working closely with a major media company for the licensing of their tracks for entities such as Fox, Speed TV, NFL Films, NASCAR Productions, ESPN, and all U.S. sports stadiums and arenas, NERO ZERO will be top of mind in 2010.

With tour date announcements to follow, NERO ZERO will show off their live show antics to a sold out Whisky A Go-Go in Hollywood on January 28, 2010. If you are anywhere near Hollywood on that night, NERO ZERO’s live show is a must see and will truly divide itself from the heap of generic Rock bands.
